和興行門口的牛肉相很吸引﹐初看外表以為只做批發。後來偶然在星期天經過﹐看到內面排著一條長長的龍﹐好奇走進去問問﹐原來都是排隊買凍肉的﹐偷看一陣子﹐也不是批發的量才賣。凍肉買回家﹐不解凍直接放進冰格﹐店員說可儲放半年。家裡雪櫃太細﹐每次也只能買一兩個月的份量。
兩口子常常半夜三更都不睡﹐肚子餓﹐晚上西營盤選擇又少﹐總不能晚晚坐計程車外出食飯。來回灣仔銅鑼灣便要80多元﹐車錢夠買三四塊肉眼了﹐還未計飯錢。晚晚吃即食麵不夠肉﹐也難受。買凍肉存放在冰格﹐想吃拿出來解凍煮﹐半夜時分份外珍貴好吃。同樣價錢在 大昌買﹐質素差一截。同樣質素在city’super買﹐早已解凍之餘﹐價錢差一截。
紐西蘭肉眼﹑紐西蘭牛柳﹕$48/lb
肉眼和牛柳﹐每次一定會買﹐看門口一流。若進去說要買肉眼﹑牛柳﹑西冷﹐一定會被問「加拿大還是紐西蘭﹖」﹐有什麼分別呢﹖加拿大的$128/lb﹑紐西蘭的$48/lb﹐質素當然與價錢成正比的嚕。平日吃的﹐買紐西蘭的比較不肉痛。大時大節﹐可以買加拿大的豪一下。買時怕記錯﹐每次都答「平那種」。
平日買肉眼會買6塊﹐每餐二人份量煮兩塊﹐便是三餐。可煎可焗﹐調味只下少許鹽和黑椒便可﹐醃也不用﹐平均每兩塊40多元。
牛柳不散賣﹐一買要買一條。回家先用保鮮袋按每餐份量分成數袋才放進凍格﹐一餐一袋﹐拿出來解凍方便些。第一次買以為會很多﹐但每餐二人份量﹐似乎牛柳大小可分作4-5餐。解凍切粒炒﹐送飯送即食麵兩皆宜﹐兩人份平均每餐40多元。
羊扒 忘了價錢﹑煙肉 $12包
羊眼扒﹐好像是這樣叫﹐名字又忘了﹐下次記得才更正吧。除了肉眼和牛柳﹐其他不常買。看到人家買什麼便學著買些什麼﹐很隨意﹐普遍也很不錯。
一般燒烤的牛肉不怎麼好吃。5月時BBQ﹐跑去買$128/lb的那種肉眼拿去燒﹐拜托店員幫忙切簿些。也不用醃﹐塗少少牛油用大火燒再加少少鹽少少黑椒﹐炭燒出來的肉眼與別不同。同場加映還有虎蝦﹑帶子﹑扇貝。急凍虎蝦一年四季也有﹐在鵝頸橋街巿附近買﹐遲些再介紹。新鮮大大隻帶子和扇貝要看時令﹐在鵝頸橋街巿買﹐沒得介紹。
